My name is Montyius Sagius and I had an exclusive chance to interview Romulus about why he killed his brother.

  • Romulus, what drove you to kill your brother?

  • Well Montyius, he was threatening my power over the people. By humiliating me in front of the people he could have proved that he is the one to take orders from. If I wanted to be the king of this new village, I was going to have to prove I was worthy of kingship. By killing my own brother I proved I was hardcore and exactly what the people wanted.

  • What would have happened if you didn’t kill Remus?

  • If I didn’t kill Remus, I would not have the power over the people that I needed. Rome would not be the great city it is today if I hadn’t had control over it. Also, the people would think that Remus is the stronger and smarter of us two. I would be looked upon as the secondary, and Remus would be respected more than me.

  • Do you have any regrets about killing your brother?

  • No, I do not regret taking out Remus. Killing him was one of the decisions that shaped Rome to be the most powerful empire in the world. If I didn’t it probably would have happened some other time in the future when we were fighting over power. Having one leader is better than having two fighting over decisions.

  • How would Rome now be changed if you didn’t kill him?

  • Rome now might not even exist if I hadn’t killed Remus. If he was still alive and we had been fighting over power too many important decisions would have been poorly decided due to me and Remus fighting. Also, Remus would might have tried to turn the people against me, and there might have been a civil war. If I hadn’t killed Remus, Rome would not be as great as it is today.
